"On time and did the job"
They showed up right on time for the rental drop-off, which I definitely appreciated because, you know, waiting around is the worst. The gear was fine, nothing that made me think wow, this is amazing, but it worked. Pickup felt a little rushed, like I was mentally going, okay, are we done already? Overall, it all went smoothly enough, but for the price, I’d say it was average

The boots were okay, but they were kinda dirty when I got them. I just feel like they could’ve been cleaner, cleaner for sure.

"Sizing was all over the place"
I was disappointed with these. The boots fit really bad, and the board size feels like it was totally wrong too. I thought it would worked out better, but it just didn’t feel right at all.

I can only speak from our experience, but this rental really didn’t work out well for our family trip. Our group order got messed up, and it ended up being frustrating to deal with when we were just trying to enjoy the time together.

"Pickup felt rushed and not very welcoming"
I’ll admit I mostly noticed the way the staff treated me, but they seemed kind of annoyed when I asked a couple questions. The whole pickup felt rushed, like they just wanted me out of there. Maybe some parts were fine, but that’s what stuck with me, and it wasn’t a great experience.

I had to change my rental dates last minute, and they were able to help me out, which was nice. It did take a couple of emails to get everything sorted, though. Overall, not a bad experience, I just kinda wish the replies had been a little faster

"Why was booking so complicated?"
Booking was way more of a hassle than it needed to be. I kept thinking, why is this so complicated? The pages were loading slowly, the date selection kept glitching, and I had to type in the same information more than once. By the time I finally got to checkout, I wasn’t even confident the price was correct. It just wasn’t a smooth experience, and I don’t think I’d use it again.

"Not what they promised"
I was told the gear would be in decent shape, but that was definitely not the case. The skis were all beat up, and the boots felt gross, worn out, and way too loose. Disappointing when they make it sound like you’re getting reliable equipment and then hand you old stuff that’s clearly seen better days.

I wasn’t happy with how my cancellation and refund were handled. The replies were slow, the answers weren’t clear, and I kept having to follow up just to figure out what was going on. At one point I was just thinking, how is this okay? Maybe other people had a smoother experience, but I wouldn’t book through them again

It just felt kind of clunky to use, and, like, it ended up taking way more time than I expected. I mean, it worked, but it definitely wasn’t the most convenient experience.

I rented from here and nearly had a full-on existential crisis when I saw what it cost. The gear was fine, nothing terrible, but definitely not amazing enough to justify the price. For what I paid, I expected it to practically pack itself and thank me afterward. Next time I’d 100% shop around before renting here again.

"Not the reservation I expected"
I’ve used this company before and usually try to stick with them because they’ve been reliable in the past, so I was disappointed this time. I booked my reservation online, but when I showed up, the details on their end didn’t match what I had reserved. It turned what should’ve been a quick pickup into a much longer process.
The staff was friendly enough and tried to help, but it was still frustrating and a little stressful. I want to keep using a brand I’ve trusted before, but if the reservation isn’t accurate, it kind of defeats the whole purpose of booking ahead. Not sure I’d use them again after this

They had a okay mix of skis and snowboards — enough that we found something that worked for our trip. Some sizes and newer boards felt a little limited though — so the options were kind of hit or miss. The staff helped us out a bit, which was nice, but I did wish there was more variety for different skill levels. Not bad overall, just average

"Rough Rental Setup and Frustrating Adjustments"
I rented through epicmountainrentals.com, the setup just didn’t feel right from the beginning. The bindings felt off as soon as I got going, and I kept having to stop and fiddle with them instead of just enjoying the run.
The gear itself looked fine at first glance, so I was expecting a normal rental experience. But the adjustment felt rushed to me, almost like it was done quickly without anyone really double-checking that everything fit the way it should.
For me, that’s a annoying way to start a ski day. Maybe others have had better luck, but based on my experience, I wouldn’t rent from them again.

"I had an issue with my rental order..."
I had an issue with my rental order and, i was getting annoyed, well, maybe more impatient than annoyed, but support did end up taking care of it. It took longer than I was hoping, but they kept replying and got it fixed in the end, so I can’t complain too much.

"Good starting point if you're new"
They were helpful with the basics and gave me some decent beginner tips, especially when it came to figuring out sizing. I’ll be honest though, I still felt a little unsure once I actually got up on the mountain, so I’d suggest asking plenty of questions before you head out. Overall, the service was fine and probably a good option if you’re just getting started.
